LABI names 2023 Free Enterprise Award winners

The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry today announced the companies and individuals it has selected as winners of its 2023 Free Enterprise Awards. 

The recipients are: 

  • The Ed Steimel Achievement Award—Cecil J. Blache, Roedel Parsons Blache Fontana Piontek & Pisano

  • Businessperson of the Year—Bryan Hanks, Beta Land Services 

  • Young businessperson of the year—Dillan Rider, RSG Wholesale

  • Company of the Year (fewer than 100 employees)—Orion Laboratories


  • Company of the Year (more than 100 employees)—Placid Refining Company 

  • Manufacturer of the Year (fewer than 100 employees)—Noble Plastics

  • Manufacturer of the Year (more than 100 employees)—Mid South Extrusion

  • Workforce Innovator of the Year—ISC Constructors LLC

  • Economic Development Partner of the Year—Chamber Southwest Louisiana.

The winners will be formally recognized at the Free Enterprise Awards: Business and Boots reception, sponsored by b1Bank, on Nov. 9. The reception will be at the LABI Center for Free Enterprise at 500 Main Street in downtown Baton Rouge.
